The Anatomy of the Boardroom: Management Experience vs. Institutional Knowledge

Where Perspectives Meet

About the Event

In architecture, an atrium is the open, light-filled heart of a building — a central space that connects different parts of the structure while bringing transparency and light into its interior.

ATRIUM 2026 brings this concept into the world of corporate governance, creating a space where perspectives meet, governance practices come into focus, and the ideas shaping the future of business are openly explored.

This year's conference turns its attention to the anatomy of the boardroom — the dynamic relationship between management experience and institutional knowledge.

What makes a board effective? Is it the experience, judgment, and intuition of its members, or the strength of governance structures, established processes, and institutional memory? Are these competing forces, or does their combination hold the key to building resilient and successful organizations?

Building on the momentum of last year's conference, the Armenian Institute of Directors introduces a fresh, dynamic format that moves beyond traditional presentations.

Expect thought-provoking debates, contrasting perspectives, and candid conversations about difficult decisions, unexpected challenges, and lessons learned from failure.

Should a growing business remain family-owned or embrace capital markets? What are the essential "airbags" that protect businesses in times of uncertainty? And what really happens behind closed boardroom doors when the stakes are high and decisions become difficult?

ATRIUM 2026 will bring together board chairs and members, business owners, senior executives, and Armenian and international experts for an engaging exchange of ideas and practical experiences.

Because some of the most valuable conversations happen beyond the formal agenda, the conference will continue with a gala networking dinner, providing an elegant and relaxed setting for meaningful connections and informal discussions.

ATRIUM 2026 — where perspectives meet, governance comes to light, and new ideas take shape.

The program and speakers will be announced soon.
