The Armenian Institute of Directors (AIoD) is the premier professional organization dedicated to advancing corporate governance and boardroom excellence across Armenia’s dynamic business landscape. Our mission is clear:

- to staunchly protect the interests of directors operating in the Republic of Armenia.

- to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of Armenian boards of directors as governing bodies; and
- to provide unwavering support to directors in all matters related to their professional activities.

Through exclusive peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, deep-dive educational workshops, and international partnerships, we equip our Individual and Corporate Members with the strategic foresight needed to navigate the complexities of modern business.
Our History
The journey of the Armenian Institute of Directors began with a clear and ambitious vision: to bridge the gap between traditional business management and the highest global standards of corporate governance in Armenia. Founded to be the defining voice for directors and top-tier executives, AIoD recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary in December 2025—a milestone reflecting a decade of impactful transformation. With advisory support from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and in close cooperation with the Corporate Governance Center, the Institute was set up in late 2014 and formally launched in 2015.
From our early days to becoming an expanding community of influential business leaders and corporate partners, AIoD has continuously evolved to meet the needs of the market.
Today, AIoD stands at the forefront of Armenia’s economic future. We are more than an institute; we are a vibrant, forward-thinking community dedicated to building the next generation of boardroom leaders and driving the sustained success of Armenian enterprises on the global stage.
