About the Event
Corporate Governance in Banks: Supervisory Expectations and the Future Agenda
The forum aims to create a platform for dialogue and dedicated discussions among the boards of directors of Armenian banks. The event is held as part of the "Peer-to-Peer Lounge" special meeting series.
The agenda for the September 24 meeting includes:
Future developments in the regulatory framework: Central Bank approaches and potential developments regarding board composition, role, collective capabilities, and professional suitability.
SREP experience and supervisory expectations regarding the board: Key observations from the SREP pilot and the resulting expectations concerning the board's role, engagement, and effectiveness.
Board members' observations, needs, and practical challenges: Factors hindering the effective functioning of the board, and potential regulatory, supervisory, or professional support mechanisms that could contribute to enhancing board effectiveness.
Target Audience: The event is designed for approximately 35–40 participants, including:
- Members of the AIoD,
- Board members of Armenian banks.
Event Format and Features:
The duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The event will feature a panel discussion and an interactive discussion with participants.
The event will operate under the Chatham House Rule to preserve candor.
