Sofya Sargsyan is an experienced financial executive with more than 25 years of professional experience in accounting, taxation, financial management, reporting, and control.

She currently serves as Managing Director of Andersen Tax, the Armenian subsidiary company of Andersen in Armenia. Prior to joining Andersen, Sofya spent over 25 years with HSBC Bank Armenia, where she held senior leadership positions and, from 2015, served as Chief Accountant and Deputy Chief Financial Officer.

Throughout her career, Sofya has been involved in managing complex financial operations, strengthening internal processes and controls, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulatory requirements. She has extensive experience working with regulatory authorities and has actively contributed to discussions on amendments to tax and financial legislation, including regulatory developments affecting the financial sector.

Sofya is recognized for her ability to lead high-performing teams, manage complex projects, and drive improvements in financial processes and organizational efficiency. Her professional experience combines strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of regulatory, financial, and governance matters.

She is a graduate of the Armenian State University of Economics and holds the qualification of an expert accountant. She has also completed professional training programs and participated in events organized by internationally recognized institutions.
