Directors Certification Program (DCP)
(only in English, as the official language of the program is English)
Strengthening Board Competence. Advancing Governance Standards.
The Armenian Institute of Directors (AIoD) is pleased to announce the launch of its Directors Certification Program (DCP) — a comprehensive, practice-oriented professional qualification for current and aspiring board members.
The DCP represents an important step towards establishing a recognised standard of professional board competence in Armenia.
Grounded in internationally recognised corporate governance frameworks, including the OECD and IFC principles, and adapted to Armenia's legal and business environment, the program combines rigorous governance knowledge with practical boardroom experience.
The program is currently undergoing the endorsement process with the European Confederation of Directors’ Associations (ecoDa).
More than a learning program, the DCP is a certification pathway designed to validate the knowledge, competencies, and judgement expected of professional directors.
The program moves beyond traditional lectures, placing practical application at the centre of the learning experience. Through real-world cases, governance dilemmas, interactive exercises, and peer discussions, participants will strengthen their ability to exercise effective oversight and contribute meaningfully to board decisions.
The curriculum covers the full spectrum of board responsibilities, from fiduciary duties and board effectiveness to financial stewardship, risk governance, strategy, digital transformation, and leadership.
